Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Selection Assessment Strategy Leader, located in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Selection Assessment Strategy Leader will help shape and strengthen our global strategy for how we assess and select candidates throughout the hiring process.
This role will report to the Executive Talent Assessment and Strategy Leader and serve as a key member of the Global Talent Management team. This role will partner closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, business leaders, and technology partners to shape science-based, fair, legally compliant, and globally scalable talent selection assessment practices to elevate our quality of hire and deliver engaging experiences for our candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
Key Responsibilities:
Selection Assessment Strategy & Governance
- Help shape and execute our global selection assessment strategy ensuring solutions for across the hiring process are inclusive, accessible, fair, and deliver on science-backed decision-making
- Advise and influence without authority on new selection assessment technologies using AI, understanding candidate, recruiter, and hiring team personas, implications of technology decisions, and impacts to compliance with relevant regulations.
- Proactively identify next-in-class selection assessment practices and solutions to elevate our company's hiring strategy as technology continues to disrupt the assessment space.
- Experiment with, and conduct evaluations of, new selection assessment practices to test and find effective, innovative, and transformative solutions that enhance hiring leader decision making and candidate experience
- Shape and execute a global governance strategy and practice on enterprise selection assessments ensuring their validity, reliability, and fairness and in compliance with global and regional regulations and governing bodies
Business Partner Consultation
- Provide regional advising and selection assessment solutions to meet business challenges
- Collaborate with leaders in Talent Acquisition, Global Talent Management, and Business Unit HR in helping to meet business needs through selection assessment
- Influence across the organization without authority to ensure best practices in selection assessment and hiring while advancing Talent Acquisition as a function
- Maintain knowledge, network, and expertise in internal/external best practices in talent assessment methodologies for selection, recruitment, and assessment.
Technology & ATS Integration
- Partner with HR Digital and IT to design and optimize ATS workflows that support structured, compliant hiring decisions
- Advocate for enhancements and automation that improve selection quality and user experience.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology Required; PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 6+ years work experience in the Selection Assessment or Talent Management space
- Expertise the assessment space including a knowledge of psychometrics, global regulations
- Strong analytic acumen and the ability to derive insights and storytell with data
- Experience leading assessment initiatives and governance processes, including validation
- Experience with global projects and launches, including project planning and resourcing
- Strong business mindset and experience in navigating complex, broad global business structures
- Understanding of regulatory processes governing the use of selection assessment globally, especially as the regulatory spaces evolves with new technology innovations and complex geopolitical developments
Preferred:
- Experience experimenting with and implementing new selection assessment technologies in close partnership with legal and regulatory partners to advance the assessment capabilities and meet business demands
- Experience in launching global assessment digital solutions in collaboration with technology partners
- Knowledge of assessment solution impacts to Talent Acquisition roles and processes

- Given this is a global role, some travel may be needed

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
