This position reports to the Behavioral and Social Sciences Department Head. This position is responsible for teaching assigned political science courses in the BSS Department, including American Government, State, and Local Government, Introduction to International Relations, and Power Civics. Faculty will teach at multiple locations, including dual enrollment courses at local high school schools.

The candidate must have a master's degree in political science or public administration, or a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in political science or public administration.
Candidate must possess demonstrated leadership abilities working within the BSS department that includes faculty, coordinators, department heads, and division leadership while displaying effective teamwork. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching in various teaching modes such as on-campus lectures, online, dual credit, and hybrid and virtual modalities. Dual Credit teaching experience is a must. Successful candidates must be proficient in using education technology platforms and able to teach in all modalities and locations; have strong problem-solving and organizational skills, background in curriculum issues, articulation, transfer practices, and educational technology. The ability to be flexible in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology is essential.
