The Department of Economic Security, Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Policy Analyst with a focus on theFamily Assistance Administration (FAA). The Policy Analyst will be responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of Cash Assistance (CA), Nutrition Assistance (NA), and related Federal and State laws andguidance. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). The Policy Analyst will be responsible for partnering with FAA leadership and staff to identify opportunities for policy improvement and writing new policy. This position requires a customer-service-minded approach, as you will often be asked to assist with problem-solving and answer staff questions about complex policy issues. The Policy Analyst also has the opportunity to work on special projects where subject-matter expertise, a keen eye for detail, and strong collaborative skills are necessary for success.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
