We seek a leader to assist in developing and coordinating fast-moving policy strategy in support of Amazon’s policy priorities to Strive to Be Earth’s Best Employer. The Senior Manager, Public Policy will serve in a liaison capacity between Public Policy and multiple business partners. They will create and implement a management framework and assist in the planning, coordination, and direction of programs and daily operations of the policy team. Understanding the big picture, connecting the dots, and diving deep in research will be essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be organized, strategic, and will have experience developing and leading immigration and employment policy campaigns. This position will work collaboratively with others in public policy and relevant businesses to ensure alignment between business priorities and public policy goals.
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development)
- Experience in public policy development and implementation
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in public policy, government, or trade associations on relevant topics
- An ability and desire to travel is required
- Experience in regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing business risks and tradeoffs
- Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
- Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate and political levels
- Demonstrated ability to be both a substantive issue expert and a manager of complex political relationships

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
