The Board of Elections is a fast paced working environment that requires extremely detailed work. The successful applicant must be flexible in an ever changing election landscape. Must also have the ability to work well with others in a collaborative manner.
Primary Job Duties:
Responsible for all phases of absentee voting (mail and in office) for all registered voters, including domestic, overseas, and military voters.
Must assess all polling locations for ADA (American's with Disabilities Act) compliance. Must make sure that all appropriate temporary ADA supplies are assigned to appropriate polling locations on Election Day.
Print and assemble all clip board lists and back up signature books for Election Day.
Scan, review and index new voter registration cards. Process all duplicate voter registrations. Properly process voters who have moved and registered in another county in Ohio.
Update voter records of those have been convicted of a felony.
Inventory and inspect all electronic poll book equipment after each election.
On Election Night, responsible for the orderly return of ballots and electronic poll book equipment.
All other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate must be able lift 40-50 pounds intermittently and have a command of Microsoft Office products.
Day shift, with some mandatory weekends and evenings.
