This position is located in the Executive Director's Office of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. The work unit exists to guide and supervise the activities of the eight Divisions within DNR in the development, preservation and enhancement of Colorado’s natural resources for the benefit and enjoyment of its citizens – both now and in the future.
The Executive Director’s Office (EDO) budget unit develops, defends, implements, and oversees the Department’s approximately $380 million annual operating budget, as well as state and federal stimulus funds, in accordance with executive and legislative budget processes to ensure accountability for all funds related to the various programs of the Department. This includes providing detailed fiscal analyses of proposed legislation and ballot measures that affect DNR programs and divisions. The unit also leads formal department-level planning processes through the preparation of the Department’s annual Long Range Financial Plan, Performance Plan, and associated reporting requirements for performance metrics, and annual SMART Act hearings.OR
Education and Experience:Pursuant to the DNR-120 Fleet and Driving Standards Administrative Directive, any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
To be compliant with the new fleet vehicle policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be pulled for review for workers who:
Have an assigned State fleet vehicle
Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position
Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle
